Today marks 2 years since my Mum died, & grief is such a strange thing. It does get easier, but it doesn’t get any less painful. The pain I feel for missing my Mum is red raw & agonising, but that pain button is pressed less frequently with the passing of time. I miss you, Mum. I miss you so much.

All these years, I’ve seen people reference the “tunnel of shit” in Shawshank Redemption, & as someone who retches at the sight of shit, I’ve avoided it. I assumed it was gross. Today I watched it and WHY DID NO ONE TELL ME IT WAS A FUCKING BEAUTIFUL FILM & THE ENDING IS LOVELY?
