I like how he says popular thing (teaching financial literacy) then tries to shoehorn in Bitcoin and the crowd goes silent fast.

Finally DL'd a Fite version today because I got tired of waiting for one to maybe get to Max. Feels like it's trending to a pseudo lost episode for US audience.

My in-laws got me the bourbon scented one and all its related accessories (beard soap, beard wax). All scented way too strong, so I assume it's like that

Ran into this with the first dart board puzzle. I'd heard people complain about it, but I just had no explainer before seeing it, so looked up what the colors meant. I presume they explicitly lay it out later, but it felt bad to select a puzzle room and not have it explained.

You'll wind up needing one of those in like 6 months, then you'll be cursing your current self. (I've been good for a cable purge once a year recently, and there's always one period of extreme regret that only lasts 10 minutes lol)

The coiled ones are goofy and fun, plus you can insist on meticulous cable management if you do it right (don't ask me how clean my desk is months later, it's a mess)

Had my computer speakers blow out, seeing Chris' work at least inspired me to open it up and look at what broke. Found the capacitor that blew, then chickened out thinking of replacing that bc there was also a chance some power connector also blew, and I only have so much time as a dad.

Fountain pens: got the cheapy Swan pens and a fun baby blue ink. Had several that didn't work out of the box (was a big pack of them), and turns out I don't like the way it feels scratchy to write. You win some you lose some, but it was cheap to find out.

Additional mini thread of Chris-inspired purchases: Chifi: got the IEMs and they sound great (although I'm no audiophile so I didn't notice a huge difference from prior wired earbuds)

Also got one, can report the Hezhen rocks. Your articles also inspired me to resharpen my chef's knife and pocket knife bc they needed it.

Reminded me of David Arquette's call att commercials, which had to have been all over wrestling show commercial breaks then. youtu.be/nX_q5GR2cA0?...

I've had 5 Google Home devices (2 of the original speaker, 2 minis, 1 hub with a screen), and the only thing keeping me on these is the auto photo highlights from Google Photos with the hub. The second that is dropped, these things are all getting factory reset and sent off. Seems inevitable though

This is how I funded my Hulu subscription as a broke college student, daily points always managed to be just enough to get another month and was worth doing like 12 dumb searches a day.

What the heck is up with the replies here? Most of them seem bot like, echoing back the same sentiment while always referencing 'Tonight's AEW show' like Jeff did in his post. Just seems like weird bot behavior?

How do you feel about knife tumblers for sharpening? I have a whetstone but I've just never been great at it. Gets sharp enough, but never feels as sharp as it should get

Very much thinking about one of these, but AliExpress drives me crazy. I haven't found the matching listing to this one, just a bunch with handles I don't like as much for more money.

I've got several of the Google home devices, and I'm dreading/anticipating them following suit and shoehorning their AI junk into it.

Wheel World is high on my list. Demon Tides also has some excellent 3D platforming feel.
