Please stop telling me that crime must be deterred. Studies have shown over and over again that in the context of criminal law, deterrence theory is a myth. It doesn't work. It never has. That's a copaganda myth. Poverty is the cause of most crime. Eliminate poverty, and you eliminate most crime.
