I saw one older lady, who participated&was tried, say that they shouldn’t be pardoned. The fact that she even thinks that should be seen as a sign that what they are doing is wrong.

This book is the reason I will never read books after watching a movie that was made about it. it’s so DIFFERENT and broke my heart 100x more than my 13 year old brain should’ve dealt with.
The next was “the book thief.” I refuse. I can’t even talk about it anymore😭😭

Especially considering we both are in love with books that have the main story being about revolution, saving the people from censorship etc. it’s confusing her thought process. I guess when you are too close to it you truly are blinded
