This is rather horrifying. And the additional slap in the face, so to speak, is the square dance and old time music equating this behavior with “hillbillies.” I was unaware of this film.

Very similar to my question: if the US government was suddenly taken over by the Mafia, how would it be different than this?

Ha! Actually lots of FB friends were announcing their presence here, including some of my favorite journalists. I never used Twitter, still not sure how I want to use this, just observing for now.
