That’s irrelevant because the players we had with the 6:2 split should have won it (despite the referee). I’m afraid to say it’s down to the players that we lost.

I’m not Toonie Out (yet) but I’m definitely Everitt Out, so this game might help.

Plus some appalling refereeing.

Nah, I’m not Toony out. The team he selected could and should have won. Unfortunately the loss is down to the players, who failed to take their chances.

The dreaded Warriston playing fields. My wife was at Drummond High School in the early 80s and they had to run down there from the school, in their PE kit, for PE classes. She still shudders at the thought.

I’m going to ignore it until about 4.40 this afternoon. Zero chance I’ll be watching the ITV pundits.

I agree but I didn’t really realise this till I went on a bird watching tour in Shetland a few years ago.

This is what it looked like (from the opposite direction) in 1979 when I came to Edinburgh Uni.

Finally we’re getting to live rent free in their heads.

Favourite graveyard? Mine has to be Warriston. I love that it’s become overgrown and a little ramshackle.

I *think* that’s the place that many years ago was L’Alliance, a very nice French restaurant.

I once found a couple of lost and confused Glaswegians near Surgeons’ Hall who had been trying to get to Bannermans from South Bridge using their phone and couldn’t work out how to get there.

You can’t turn onto Cowgate from either South Bridge or George IV Bridge no matter what you think your map says.

You have to be really quick to stop the server in the chippie drowning your chips in chippie brown sauce.

Tents aren’t famous for their soundproofing. Go to North Berwick and just stand around in the vicinity of the tent and hear the gig.

It’s in the sixth floor of the NMS.

Kinghorn plays on the wing for Toulouse more than full back. Since Ramos recovered from his injury he’s always been preferred at full back.

That looks like it was taken from Home Street, maybe in the 1930s. If it was then my great-grandfather’s (and grandfather’s) millinery shop was just behind the photographer.

Edinburgh have an attack coach? 😮

If it’s OK for Wales to sack their coach mid-tournament then it’s OK for the SRU to sack Everitt.

Typical white line fever in the forwards at the end. There really is no attack. The backs do nothing except shovel the ball along the line until they run out of space.

If Wales can sack Gatland mid-tournament then the SRU can sack Everitt now.

He should be getting more starts.

I walked past there a few hours ago and commented to my wife that only in Morningside could a pizza restaurant be in such a grand building.

Stand for the first one. Sit down for having natural hair colour. I’ve hardly got any but what little there is is natural grey/white.

On my electronics degree course electromagnetism was by some distance the most difficult module of the course. I got 18% in the end of term exams and that was round about the average score for the class. I don’t think anyone touched the electromagnetism question in the end of year finals.

And to complete the set these ones in Davidson’s Mains at East Barnton Gardens.

That’s them. Thanks for the link. I see that it says the principal access to the old Barnton House was from Queensferry Rd. That would be at these unprepossessing gate posts opposite the bottom of Drumbrae North where Bonnyfield Lodge used to be.

Fully agree. The extra forward on the bench did nothing for us on Saturday. Is this an admission that Gilchrist and Gray aren’t up to playing a full match? Gray certainly isn’t.
