See the funny thing is there is a very specific YouTube channel I watch that NEVER gets shown on my For You homepage.
I literally have to go to their channel manually or look in the subscription tab to see their videos.
I'd have to imagine some people have similar issues with other channels.

It's because it's an older YouTube thing, cause at the time people didn't really use the word "following" or "follower".
More people understood subscription because of things like magazines and newspapers.

That's interesting, cause for me I get almost always videos only and little livestreams.
I guess if people use their YouTube to stream I could see the issue, but usually I find the solution to that to be finding their channels for purely edited content only.

For You is good for getting memes and short-form video recommendations I've found.
It can even work well for finding new channels!
