Privileged white male caring more about decency than it‘s own wallet. Votes and behaves accordingly. Still surprised about people with inverted attitudes.

So Russia recruited Trump only last week? Your point is CIA could not know before Daily Beast discovered it?
comment in response to post
I agree But if Daily Beast can get that information, what were CIA & FBI doing for last 4 years?
comment in response to post
It’s like that since years. Why are you you surprised now? There is literally a NYT pitch bot that explains why everything is Biden’s fault

If you are at an event where someone on stage gives a Hitler salute and that person is not dragged off by security and kicked out, you are at a Nazi rally.

They are not heart-wrenching. Those people voted for immigrant kids in cages for some form of personal benefit. It did not play out that way and now it hits them personally. So what?

Conveniently, WSJ asks that question after the election. The dumblbee does not understand anything, but that was ok because less taxes and more profits.

And I noticed Mitch was not against this one. Interesting how no votes are always limited and disconnected from principles. Bottom line: all of them are voting for anything trump wants, the limited grandstanding is arranged.

Here comes Stasi

Little bit too late, huh? We did not even climb up the first ramp of the rollercoaster and they would like to get off. That is not how this works. Buckle up.

I meant the idea the leader is misinformed was used to argue it is not his fault. It is part of propaganda handbook of authoritarian regimes, in order to maintain the person cult.

Don’t fall for that. The ‘if only leader would know, he would fix it’ meme is at least as old as Stalin.

And certainly, only the best hired guns can be booked via an app. Now every weirdo with a gun is going to be a bodyguard. Can’t wait until they get bored and start shooting people because waiting in a parking lot of a restaurant is not anything like that Kevin Costner guy in the movie.

Trump negotiated an end to the conflict directly with the Taliban, without the US-backed government at the table. The Taliban have since overrun Afghanistan. Trump wants to negotiate an end to the conflict directly with Putin, without Ukraine at the table. What do you think happens next?

He wants to replace them with AI he will provide. So $50k in salaries less is probably $40k more in his pocket. Every year. It’s always only about who benefits

Just for the record if it was not obvious, I was not sympathetic Schadenfreude is a better description of my sentiment

Measles wipe out body immune memory, so now they are not protected against anything. Even the stuff they had already. Of course, they could refresh bunch of it via vaccinations, but we know how that is going to go.

Like the new health secretary has ‚relevant‘ experience? I would think the rules have changed and assume *everything* bendable will be bent

Or they could increase the spending to 5% but buy locally and contribute to own economy, compensating for tariff impacts

So then why are they resigning if admin selected people without integrity?
comment in response to post
What if he picked them because he wanted to get rid of them?
comment in response to post
I think this is the whole point. Make sure people with integrity resign so nobody stands in the way of future actions. They do not have to win in court (meaning they do not need competence), they can bankrupt/intimidate anybody by just bringing them to court.

And the military lobby and all the active service personnel cheer! But it is only logical, where else to get the money for cuts? USAID is peanuts compared to Medicare/aid and military.

Working families elected him this time. We are all going to get what they wanted, it’s just going to hurt them more. How that makes sense beats me, but it is what it is.

I think the fundamental mistake of any opposition to this government is the focus on one (or two if one includes Musk) frontman. The beating should have been and should be on the enablers, especially in Senate. Here is where Republicans outplay everyone in PR games.

We are not (yet). What those morons don’t understand is that in a loyalty driven world, you have to prove loyalty over and over again to be better than others so the leader likes you more. With so thin majorities, this is going to break. Hence the pressure to do more early.

Now he is the opposition. What, he wants a better world for his grandchildren or did he see the Jesus? He is to a large degree responsible for this mess.

Sh*t, at first I did not see it is from the Onion and I was literally thinking ‘wtf?’ Got me on this one :-)

But, I thought Musk is master of AI Grok, Tesla and all that

1 + 1 = 2 Sometimes it just needs longer for brain to process it. I guess it depends on the brain in question too.

Glad he is focused on important things improving our life quality. But in real life this only means one of two things (or both): - Biden did something, so he needs to undo it - someone from plastics industry has his ear or was kind enough to donate
