I am Canadian, Albertan, Grandma, and Raging Grannie. I love dogs, gardening, nature, Park run & learning. Lethbridge is my home. I try to make a difference in my city with showing empathy and kindness. I can't do everything but I can do something.

So, if you're upset, call or write your MLA. Show up to protests. Demonstrate that this behaviour is not, in fact, Alberta as usual. This will make dodging accountability unacceptable. A full public inquiry is needed.

Way to go Medicine Hat! Lethbridge is right behind you on all the issues. Protests at that location seem to be a habit. We joined you on Dec. 23/24 to protest #MountainsNotMines and #WaterForLife.

Letters are great for our MLA. We decided to deliver ours today directly to his office. Nobody was there so we just taped them to the window. That saves postage we thought! lol

You can adopt Lethbridge as your honorary Grannies or you can start a gaggle of Grannies in your community. We are all over the place. Only requirement is that you be an activist. Singing ability, being a grannie not a requirement.

Raging granddads are already a thing in Lethbridge. We have given them the title of "Roadies" They carry our banner and sound system for us, take pics and videos, as we assign them tasks! If we are short of grannie voices, we may even ask them to sing with us! 😂

"Pink Slip for Danielle Smith" rally will be at Lethbridge East Constituency Office (Minister Neudorf) on Saturday, February 22 at 1 PM. Bring your pink signs, your voices and your family and friends. The Raging Grannies have a couple tunes for the occasion!

having to be shutoff at the Senior Centre....the irony of it all was not lost on me. BTW...SACPA is sponsoring a Town Hall Panel on Coal Mining and Water on March 5,2025, at 6pm at Southminister Church.

I wanted to ask him why the Mayor and Council of the Crowsnest Pass have been so vocal; why Mayor Snodgrass of High River has been speaking out; why Chief & Council of Piikani have spoken but crickets from the current Lethbridge Mayor & Council. The session was adjourned early due to the water...

gobsmacked by his responses. Lethbridge City has written a few letters since 2020, will do a resolution sometime, but it is provincial jurisdiction so they will wait. Water is life; we depend on the Eastern slopes headwaters for our agricultural & agrifood economy as well as for all citizens.

Yesterday I attended SACPA (Southern Alberta Council of Public Affairs) with guest speaker @mayorhyggen.bsky.social In his presentation, no mention was made of the threat of coal mining to our water from the Eastern Slopes. In the Q&A, he was asked repeatedly about water and coal mining. I was ...
