It was a bad hair day for Marge Simpson…

Cheers Paul. I’ve made some great friends through The Raven, writers and readers alike. It’s been a joy.

Yeah, without opening the fridge first too.

Good morning, Guy. Another day, another chance to achieve the impossible. Or at least the quite tricky.

It’s a bold claim but kittens, well…

Thank you, Lily, that is wonderful to hear.

These remain thought-leading topics. Auum’s still in his dressing room, awaiting a worthy opponent.

Ah, Steve, those are great and treasured memories, my friend.

The sequel is even better. Terrific games.

It was absolutely awesome. I spent as much time underwater as possible and every minute was a joy.

Hail, my friend! Excellent morning so far. I hope yours has been even better.

Morning all. I have traded the magnificence of the Maldives for the endless chill damp of the UK and I am not ready for it.

It’s crickets here, man. I even got out the HG Wells welcome mat.

Hello. Eventually.

The Gorge is you? I am looking forward to this movie more than is strictly healthy. Keep on rockin’ my friend.

Afternoon! Oops, very late today. But much has been achieved amidst trying to get my ailng son (severe tonsilitis) in front of a doctor in an effort to get stronger pain meds to go with his anitbiotics. All good fun...

Thank you so much for this, Jason. It's lovely of you to take the time to detail what moves you in the trilogy and, I've got to say, makes me want to go back in myself. I so loved writing those books and it's wonderful you still read them. Ascendants... yes, well, a looong read!

I hope it all goes incredibly well. Best of luck, mate.

Morning! Glorious day. Cold, crisp and fresh. Like a lettuce. But will inevitably not last as long. Like a Truss.

Good morning! May the sun shine on your hopes and dreams today and every day.

Good morning, team. The kids are at school, the dogs are walked and I'm off to PT at 10.30. It's a good start to a Tuesday. By which I mean knackered by 11.30 and asleep by midday. Hope you're all thriving.

Morning all. A new week beckons, crooked finger enticing us to follow, but to where and to what?

Morning! Late to the party today. I'd say it was because of a long lie in but that would be fake news and also, I don't even like lying in. It's the thief of the day.

It is a tough read for sure. The writing is unfailingly brilliant but wow, it is relentless…

So far! Lovely chilly walk in the sun with the dogs. Now, sadly, working... may your day be excellent!

Morning, Guy. How’s the day looking? Morning, everyone.

Good morning, Guy, good morning, everyone. Today shall include many words written and a small amount of garden design. All with the vital assistance of dogs.

I wasn’t exactly bursting with praise when I answered the survey. They might still be the best casting site but the range and quality of jobs they attract is… limited.

Good morning, Guy, good morning all! Older son turned 18 on Saturday... marquee in the garden etc. They had a great time but there was human wreckage come the end of the night and very sore heads for those who stayed over. Good bunch, but blimey, so many of them are smokers... it's back in vogue

Yes, the sky is clearer, the air more pleasant and smiling faces abound.

Yes, I've barely checked in and posted even less! Long overdue...

Was there meself earlier today. I always treat a visit there as a military operation. Only way to survive.

The Bone Ships trilogy is utterly fantastic. I envy you a first read… I’m being all high-falutin’ and reading Steinbeck’s The Grapes of Wrath at the moment. It’s extraordinary.

From age 10 or so: ‘Going round Pete’s’ ‘Ok, when are you back?’ ‘Dunno, maybe teatime.’ ‘Ok. Got your key?’ ‘Yep’ ‘Ok.’
