I’d be a Mallard on a park lake. I love bread.

“She keeps herself to herself, feeds her birds and cleans her house, does her shopping and comes and goes.” But she’s a lumberjack & she’s OK.

Friday morning dog walk along the misty ridge, with eyes peeled for a reported errant Yellow-browed Warbler. Fat chance, even if it was carrying a placard.

Mildly annoyed, rather than angry.

Lovely image. Strong micro narwhal vibes there that I had never noticed before.

Lone Sentinel (Carrion Crow). A measure of English weather when you can capture a #silhouette just before midday.

I periodically check St Bartholomew's Church at Tardebigge for Hawfinch. In Nov 2023 I first saw 2 Red Kite on high there & got excited. I have seen 2 together again in August this year. It’s getting like the Chilterns around there!

Fantastic residents for the town. Can’t wait for you to get paid & get your new Hawke phone-scope adapter 😉.

When I saw that catastrophic canal pollution incident on the news, I did wonder if it had affected any part of the Wednesbury Walsall section that you regularly walk. Thankfully not, judging by your post! 👍🏻

The exception to that Australian exception is obviously the ‘Bin Chicken’.

Depressingly catastrophic in the long run (along with all the other anthropogenic pressures). The “like” button is so inappropriate sometimes. 😔

🤞I reckon an Autumn passage is never quite as dramatic as springtime. Dribs & drabs, but my gut feeling (hopes), is that by late September this particular migration will prove to have been significant. The weather over Twitter-land (X) is dreadful and forecast to get even worse.
