I worked for Lizzy as her registrar when I came back from mat leave and PhD. Her passion for education and mentorship is infectious and I can’t think of anyone who would be better to lead education at ESMO. www.esmo.org/about-esmo/h...

My first ESMO GI - and first visit to Barcelona. experience about to be unlocked! Excited

Argh when will I learn to pack a bag when I travel because I inevitably finish work late and need to crash in a hotel

Emails have become a disease.

I’m terrible at taking photos but my first day at the @charityammf.bsky.social conference today was fantastic. I don’t know how to express how important it is for patients advocates carers and care providers all being in the room together. I’ve written down a ton of take homes already..

Every time I return library books the librarians look really worried when they tell me the fine amount. It hurts but I just accept now that if I’m going to use the library it’s going to cost me because there is zero chance those books are going back in time

A bit of progress made on the second sock over Easter #knitsky. Hopefully can finish it this week with a bit of concerted effort.

I’m putting it out there- trans women and men deserve better. Forcing people to use toilets that out them and put their physical safety at risk is cruel, wrong and humiliating.

I’m going to ASCO25! Virtually this time. I will miss Chicago this year but excited for all the learning and expanding of horizons.

Applications are now open to join our Summer Research Programme! 📍 Live in @corpuscambridge.bsky.social 🔍 Work in the lab 🚀 Start your research journey Deadline: 21 April www.cruk.cam.ac.uk/students/und...

Absolutely spoilt for all things UK UGI cancers this week with a wonderful prog by UKIOG on Monday meeting inc Ash Tokhi and ending with a OGOS in Oxford where I had the pleasure of seeing my former Cambridge colleague surgeon Ayesha Noorani speak. Next week will struggle to top this excitement!

Amazing day at #UKIOG annual conference today catching up with the gastro-oesophageal cancer community. Absolute highlight hearing about enhanced supportive care clinics. Working closely with palliative care colleagues is so essential.

And yet Joe Rogan puts guests on who say "Vaccines aren't actually responsible for the reduction in infectious diseases.”

I’ve been working all day in my PJs and now it is almost time to go back to bed I am quite pleased with the efficiency of it

Second sock is in full swing just bracing myself for doing the hard bits again #knitsky
