Happy Book Birthday to this adventure-packed trilogy conclusion! The third book confronts the baked-in misogyny that demonizes (literally) women who refuse to accept being subjugated. Discover a rich world with intersectional themes that empowers us to refuse to be made the villains in our story!

Happy Labyrinth Road Book Birthday to this cozy light horror MG mystery from acclaimed author Shaun David Hutchinson! Such a perfect read to curl up with on a snowy night. (And, bonus— the first stand-alone in the series made the ALA Rainbow List yesterday!)

Yay the 2025 ALA Rainbow List is up!! Huge congrats to Top Ten (!) title Ariel Crashes a Train, and to Blood City Rollers, School for Unusual Monsters, & Alex Wise Vs the End of the World, among so many great books on the list. Labyrinth Road is here for queer publishing, always. 🌈

As I'm starting back in book publishing, I'd like to know of Black (& POC) freelancers w/ experience copyediting, proofreading, editing, design, marketing. The imprint I'm at is creating a #freelance database, so if you have website/LinkedIn, which every #freelancer should, lemme know. DO NOT DM ME.

If you are looking for ways to turn that crippling dread into action, take 5 minutes and make 5 calls. They give you the phone numbers to your senators and a script to call about numerous issues. That’s how I’m starting my day today. ☕️📲👏 apps.apple.com/us/app/5-cal...

I spent the last two days in launch meetings, hearing my colleagues affirm the commitment to publishing beautiful inclusive books. Historically, editors tread delicately in launch presentations, focusing on positive messaging while trying not to “offend” conservatives. This time no one held back. 💥

Happy to have some good news to share— can we celebrate that @emilyshapiro24.bsky.social has been promoted to associate editor? 🎉 And Emily remains as dedicated as I am to filling Labyrinth Road with inclusive, commercial reads for every kid out there!

Thinking about sexual coercion and coercive sexual assault this morning and just how many more women there must be out there who experienced it from NG and how I wish I'd known this term much earlier -- consent is only consent if it's freely given www.plannedparenthood.org/blog/sexual-...

Believe survivors. Every day.

Wrestling once again with the question of how to process horrible truths revealed about someone you loved or admired? These novels by @debcaletti.bsky.social & @coreyannhaydu.bsky.social are beautiful, powerful, cathartic reads revolving around this very theme.

"Mask bans will not solve antisemitism, but they will further stigmatize a simple, effective health tool and endanger marginalized groups," said Jews for Mask Rights co-founder Michal. #NoNYMaskBan #NYC www.nyclu.org/press-releas...

Since reading “that” article about “that writer,” I have held my breath dreading the backlash of people saying how could the women have felt it was non consensual and texted him the things they did. I’m so relieved not to be seeing that. (1/3):

I would come back to work from a holiday break with proverbial bells on any day when I have a new manuscript from @debcaletti.bsky.social waiting for me. 😍 And, friends, this one is a most breathtaking *LOVE STORY*! Get ready to have your hearts cracked open in every best way.

Day 22: 31 Days, 31 Lists - 2024 Fantasy Books for Kids. Here are some books with a distinctive fantasy feel that stood out to me in 2024. Read 'em! Enjoy 'em! Love 'em! And suggest the ones I missed. #kidlit 📚👍 afuse8production.slj.com/2024/12/22/3...

txla.org/news/2025-ta... How much do I love seeing ARIEL CRASHES A TRAIN on a Texas reading list in all its queer glory. ❤️

@danielbral.bsky.social Thank you for such wonderful presentations!

@itsladarrion.bsky.social 💥

Seeing this display in the booth in person was so ❤️❤️❤️🥺!

Joy!! @brklyndragon.bsky.social

#NCTE24 MAKERS IN THE MIDDLE was dope! Thank you for inviting me to use both my teacher & writer 🧠's. Here's the poem our group came up with. #teachers #librarians #writers #hope

Please read this book banning bill TX GOP want to pass. It is chilling, bigoted and a sign of what may come--beyond Texas.

@maerespicio.bsky.social Said gluten-free donuts!!

You know your author is your people when they have a game with them for the crowded people-y cocktail party. Labyrinth Road’s gaming corner brought some fun conversations. If you’re at NCTE come get Rob Cameron to sign a copy of DAYDREAMER today at 1:00 at the Random House booth!

I’m at NCTE! And yes I brought my Ravens water bottle deep into Patriots territory. Feeling brave!
