(yes more expensive than my digital comms. my digital comms are the cheapest i can possibly make a commission, these are more because you get an original piece in the mail, i use physical supplies to make them, and because it's a type of commission i rarely offer)

in the meantime though, waiting around for unionized jobs to resurface kinda blows, and needing to successfully pull off an $80k kickstarter to make one episode of an indie cartoon is an option that im happy exists but it being the *only* option also isn't ideal at all

-my (too optimistic??) prediction is that the industry will be reborn one step removed: the legacy studios will turn into money mills that just scout, distribute, and financially contribute to new, smaller indie studios
-eventually those indies unionize and it's kinda like it was before

this wasn't meant to be that deep but sure why not:
-currently legacy studios seem to aspire to move masses of money around forever without making anything new
-we end up with studios with gobs of money that're nevertheless SO risk averse they'll barely make anything at all much less something weird
