Dangerous not just for the people you point out, which you did say later. I’ll just reiterate that MAGA basically accuse every Democrat of being demonic, satanic, evil. A very dangerous permission structure to commit violence as self-defense, which is the only moral justification for murder.

Okay, but I think the point there *is* the ridiculousness of blaming autism, not hey this guy isn’t autistic. I think it could be a corrective, probably too subtle though. agree the best thing would be everyone shut up about autism causing bad morality.

6 authors and editors couldn’t catch that, because they didn’t try and don’t care and probably knew. I know folks will say ‘but we need journalism’ but the NYT is objectively not trustworthy and fascist.

They definitely have a think beyond the first step deficit. It’s so like them to choose felon, a label a lot of people that vote for them share. It definitely will never bite them after prominent Ds are convicted in corruption show trials.

It shouldn’t matter, they still deserve to have health care and are human beings. The goal should be to convince them that a party that puts people before profits would look out for every American, even the ones who don’t think they need anything from government

So you read some propaganda from polling that Black people didn’t want less police, articles designed exactly for you to tsk tsk “the left” in defense of murderous cops. The problem I have with left bashing is that they have zero power, anywhere, in America. It’s masturbatory.

I also believe the death penalty is wrong, in every instance. My name is meant to be a reminder there are many more of us than those with power, and the divine right of kings was universally accepted until it wasn’t.

We did this at the beginning of Covid too, making masks, shopping for neighbors, pop up food banks etc. And the government showed us they had the power to just give us money all along. Of course this had to be crushed too.

If you really examine that instinct though, how is glee at harm to a Trump voter any different than their glee at harm to someone on SNAP? They believe getting poor was a choice. Glee at harm for almost any choice is a very slippery slope. Value and equality of every life has to be a first principle

Keeping their powder dry. I’ve been thinking about when liberals went scorched earth on Bernie for saying that these orgs are part of the establishment and donor class.

Be specific, because you are only actually revealing that you bought into propaganda about protesters.

Sorry but defunding the police is essential to having a better world, and if you still don’t understand that the left will be attacked for any choice of words when they advocate for less state violence, or less inequality, or any left policy, then I don’t really know how to explain it to you.

Please understand that not all probationary employees are new to the federal workforce. Changing positions, even moving up, starts a new probationary period. Some of these employees have been in federal government for decades and are the most knowledgeable and experienced.

Once you don’t hold the line on naming things after the generals who fought for the losing side against The United States of America, it’s all a slippery slope.

Gee, I wrote a trite unoriginal piece in which I blame progressives removing confederate generals names for making the fascists do this, and now I’m faux shocked they reacted to my obvious trolling. This is why The Atlantic is the worst magazine.
