Your gender is what you say it is. So tired of busybodies. Also how does making coffee way more expensive lower prices?

When Lady Frieda Harris exhibited her Tarot paintings in the 70s, she had to keep it secret that she had developed them with Crowley or the project would have been pulled. So instead she attributed them to "Jesus Chutney". I... think that might be worse than the penis thing.

I can’t get anyone around me to care and it’s horrifying.

I'm a West Virginian and it's been really something seeing our Trump-supporting politicians completely dumbfounded that he would cut funds to the state that were already appropriated. The magical thinking that it will only ever affect someone else.

If you have no compassion left in your heart for people with disabilities in West Virginia because of how a majority of the state voted, feel free to keep that to yourself!

can corroborate. seems like ol' timbo took a long weekend to unplug and unwind, and it's not truly restorative if you have to come back to the office with a bunch of voicemails waiting for you, see?

another constituent now reports being told @mcclellan.house.gov has decided the coup is "her top priority." see? be patient, and you, too, can receive the bare minimum lip service from your dem representatives about the disintegration of the republic!

on hold with @markwarner.bsky.social's dc office. ironically, given warner is a fmr telecomms exec, the line is full of static. still better than @kaine.senate.gov, though—his dc AND richmond offices' outgoing messages are garbled, and i haven't been able to get through to a human in 3 calls

particularly nice to see this from the guy who last month told us it was fine that dem leadership blocked @aoc.bsky.social from the top oversight role in favor of Gerry Connolly with the instant hall-of-fame line “Gerry’s a young 74, cancer notwithstanding.” keep yelling at these guys!

That’s what you’re doing, if you say that what he is doing is *authorized*. It is not AUTHORIZED. Not at all.

Hey, people who want to quibble about what “we didn’t vote for this” means here: I will block you if you imply that Trump has the *authority* to do what is happening here by virtue of the election. He does not. Stop giving cover to fascists.

Once power stops flowing from the Constitution, and starts flowing from the executive, we live under authoritarian rule. It’s that simple. Are we going to acquiesce to it?
comment in response to post
The only question that remains is whether the Constitution remains in force or whether Trump does.

A vote for President decides who wields the powers in the Constitution. If a President reaches for more powers than those in the Constitution, that person is no longer a President. That person has violated the oath of office placed on him by the Constitution.

It does not amend the Constitution to give the President the delegable authority to allow teenagers with no clearance or government authority to download all our data without any safeguards, or to line-item veto spending after the fact.

I do not care what is in anyone’s heart or mind when they cast a vote: a vote is a legal process to choose the Constitutional head of government. It is not a vote to create a governmental “department” that did not exist before the election and has never been authorized by Congress.

A vote for President is not a constitutional amendment.
