Theoretically? Forever, with containers and open-source. I still use mcomix to read my manga and it is *old*. But it is so good that eventually people picked it up from Sourceforge and put it on other platforms, so I can just install it from Flathub and it just works.

I'd love it if everything could be WASM and a Web App, so I could install it through my browser for all platforms, but that's at least 5 years away. And I'd imagine Adobe would be the main pusher for it, given it is the most cost effective way of combating piracy and supporting all OS.

I've seen one myself. And I've opened my Bazzite ROG Ally on a train myself. The Steam Game Mode makes it work great, haha.

I mean, if it works for you, that's great. Last month, I tried it again, and it doesn't seem to read my Formatted Table correctly - doesn't show the column name at the top, at least. That's a no go from me. Plus, the rendering is just bad.

...not gonna lie, I still can't be bothered to remember how many U's in Gquuuuuux so I just keep pressing U until it looks more than enough 😆

Fedora Atomic. It's practically a meta-distro though - Kinoite is very different from Aurora which is different from Bazzite which is a bit different from Bazzite ROG Ally which is very very different from CentOS repo based Aurora LTS (they're all KDE). But they're all united through ostree/bootc.

Take your time, Igni. My mother had cancer as well, I understand how painful and stressful it can be. Please cherish the time you have with family, we'll still be here.

That's a high praise. Is it the best non Fromsoft Souls-like so far then?

At least Brave is honest about its shitty parts. Firefox, meanwhile, pretend to be an angel but will pull the same moves as big companies as they push hard, then pull back as much as needed, because dumbasses kept giving them free passes while they're boiled like frogs.

Ugh, that's annoying. I mostly check my sub box, add them to the Watch Later playlist (which is auto-downloaded) in the morning, then listen to them at work/commute. More than half of my Watch Later is from my sub box, and it's only that low because I naturally prioritize creators I subbed to watch

I use both. I go with Heroic by default, since it's simpler and works well in Flatpak, as well as supporting Windows as well. Lutris can be a hassle when you're manually adding a lot of games. But it has its uses.

FWIW you are *the* gaming on linux guy, in every sense of the word. And unfortunately everyone is competing with each other *and* every other entertainment for people's attention and money... Still, maybe you can do something similar to Nate's email method? pointieststick.com/2024/07/09/h...

You are the Mick Fraser formerly of GIAG/GodIsAGeek? If so, then is the link in the bio the new site? And can you share link to the team's socials so I can follow them all?

This is counter-productive. If your present is stressful and unhappy, look the future, take steps to make things better for yourself. Even if your options are limited, taking even small steps will give you a feeling of agency, which is the first step to start feeling happy instead of just coping.

I personally wouldn't really recommend Mint. It's stable, it's good if it fits a user's usecase, but it takes a while to get new stuff there. Personally, I would recommend using Ventoy, loading it with Mint, Kubuntu, Bazzite, Garuda, Zorin, and Windows - see which one you like best first (if any).

Yeah, instruction sucks. Personally, I'd recommend using Ventoy. It will make you able to boot any iso file in a flash drive, so you can put in the Linux iso and Windows iso file there.
