Early dinner at a place inspired by ekiben. Mocktails were nice: Yuzu kyoho highball, peaflower pomegranate and a hojicha ichigo latte. I enjoyed it, we will definitely come back.

Trying out kangaroo tataki. Normally I like kangaroo but I felt this one was drowned in too much marinade. Also had Yellowfin whiting pakora, which sadly lacked spices.

16 days since the last post about these Alocasia. The one that was mailed in sphagnum has grown so well. Still zero leaf loss and is pushing out its 6th leaf now. The other two are ok, recovering slowly after losing all their initial leaves. #alocasia #aroids #plantsky

A bit bummed that strong winds blew down my largest banana plant, which then landed on my newly bought Plumeria var. Lulu. It snapped her off at the base. I'll have to reroot her. Just saying goodbye to her current blooms before I propagate 😭 #plants

I made yusheng 魚生. A new year dish from Malaysia/Singapore. My version has carrot, cucumber, white and yellow pickled daikon, pickled ginger, seaweed salad, jellyfish, coriander, crushed peanuts, fried wonton wrappers, sesame and raw salmon. #lunarnewyear

I went to another store in search of Amorphophallus konjac and found some! Also found a frangipani "Lulu" that I've been after for 2 years now. A Philodendron "Ring of Fire", Sarracenia with bonus sundew and a breynia also somehow jumped into my trolley. #plants #indoorplants #aroid
