I read the first one already! Thriller action! Very twisty, heart pounding fun.

Ba-da...splat!

I try to do that at the farmers market, but last year no one wanted them because we all took them! Finally the coordinator took them so she could offer them back this year. I had a ton. I'll be taking them Sat and hoping someone needs them.

I always buy more plants than I can handle. Then I toil and struggle and love all of them, even if a few die early. I have to hunt through farmers' markets and also grow from seed though. We don't have very many places to buy plants here!

Stick a whole bunch of assholes in one room, what do you expect? They are all self-centered, out for themselves.

Just have fun and learn lots!

We understand that, but FINDING non-AI can be problematic when you haven't made a name for yourself, whether you're talking art or text or music. It isn't as though AI novels are marked accordingly. Neither is a lot of art or music.

I hope you have a super fun time. Take pictures...or draw what you see!

Yeah, how about you do your job and read the thing? Because it is your job and "I did not know" is a total failure on your part.

EEEEEK!

Yes, it is! That's a lot of hope and dreams you're holding! Congrats! It takes a ton of discipline to get there.

Who is the artist, again?

And if you carry the stuff, they have been known to just confiscate it so you don't have it later to prove anything at all.

You look fabulous, darling!

I never found them when I lived in Texas. I'm back in NM and most orchards are gone. There's no longer enough rain or river water to support an orchard. It remains a favorite and I keep my eyes open for it. Dad has about 5 trees, but no winesap and no room for another!

I see this in my Kobo rec list lately. Haven't tried it tho.
comment in response to post
Will any of them be in Kobo Plus at some point? Thanks!

I do love winesap! My grandfather and dad used to grow them. We no longer own the orchard in rural NM with those few trees. It's my favorite apple. Strong hints of wine, apple and makes a delicious pie!

It's just raw entertainment to me. I'm not really thinking values. Culture in some ways, yes. But I'm not sure every book in every genre (I read a lot of paranormal, fantasy, sci/fi) is really meant to be about values.

Well sweatpants might be okay. And a CLEAN shirt... :) LOL

Pointless. AI keeps looking for a reason to exist and hoping someone will pay for it.

Nope. That's just a scam and then to change the price after the service? Nope and more nope.

I never really understood why Kirkus was allowed to have the reviews up there because they are mostly paid. But they aren't in the trail of reviews like other reviews that are posted by individuals. They are usually part of the blurb or on the expanded description of the book.
comment in response to post
Oh no, I mean that if Amazon finds out you were paid to DO the review, they will ban you from reviewing and remove all your reviews! Since a lot of authors really want amazon reviews, it kind of stunts paid reviewers. Amazon DOES list kirkus reviews, but I think that is a separate understanding.
comment in response to post
Yes, that is the one I bought! I haven't started it yet. Just bought it two or three days ago. I am glad to hear it's good. I was kind of on the fence about buying it!
comment in response to post
Looks spooky!
comment in response to post
You may know all the above already. Check TOR and see if they are still paying for some reviews. Kirkus is another, but I don't think they pay for all the reviews they do. Good luck!
comment in response to post
For the most part, since paid book reviews aren't allowed on Amazon, you have to find a private source. TOR used to pay 20 for each review (with a specialized format you had to follow). If you offer paid reviews on Amazon they will eventually take them down and that causes issues for offering.

I have The enchanted Greenhouse on my list and one by the author in the top right (with the pile of books. Can't remember her name or the name of that book!)

I only do that with books. Can't have too many!
comment in response to post
What is the full title of the book and is it on Kobo Books?
comment in response to post
That cover is stunning.

I skip them entirely. Then again, I skip repetitive info entirely. Sure, Maybe I miss something by skimming, but reading the same thing twice is boring. There has to be a very important reason for that kind of dual POV and new information, not old!

Will it be on Kobo books?
