I'm quite a bit older now than all of them were there. Big Roy could still treat me like he was ma dad though.

Can see the 'High time' album cover showing in the background. They must have split up shortly after this π

Some of the very best people refuse knighthoods, for exactly the reason that Gary won't get 1.

I think I'm out here. Blocking of humanitarian aid is a war crime. If your first reaction to this is to deflect, your a bit too bias to be reasonable. Peace!

Read the original post regarding the blockage of aid and then grow up.

It's not war though. Also, there are things that shouldn't be done during war (if that's what you think it is). Deliberately starving and displacing people isn't just collateral damage... its ethnic cleansing ...duh.

That wasn't an answer to my question. Is killing innocents not wrong?
comment in response to

Jeffrey, can we at least agree that killing innocent people is wrong, no matter who does it?

I've left Twitter a while now. I'm going on the assumption you left too? So glad some of the best accounts from there made it here.

Quite disproportionate to Scotland too. I don't know whether to be proud or not π«£

I'm confused, probably just me. The way he is talking about Springsteen taking money seems to be implying that he is the one who was campaigning...and that refusing to accept it would ha e been the proper thing to do. Am I being mad?

Haha. Honestly thought this too. Burst out laughing when I heard it.

Scots person here. I only heard about it when I watched the TV series of Watchmen. They do a huge action sequence where white people are bombing black businesses from airplanes. I thought it was too far fetched until I read it was true. Whitewashed from history. Pun intended. Disgusting.

Always fascinates me that you could see defined periods based on the clothes that people wear then, from the late 80s, it gets much harder to spot

What about Mank? I've still to watch it. I love Gary Oldman but, as it was Netflix instead of cinema, it put me off for some reason.
