For psychedelics and therapy - Blind Spots by Chantelle Thomas is amazing . I’ve also really been enjoying Labyrinths by Amanda Knox

Thats a ridiculous leap to make. Oli, What are you doing to end war and world conflict?
comment in response to post
No it’s not. You’re saying that treating injured service member’s psychological injuries perpetuates the war machine. By that logic, treating their physical wounds would too. That is absolutely ridiculous.

This meanspirited and destructive behavior does not exemplify a group that is concerned with constructively advancing life saving mental health treatments and finding solutions to very real issues within the field.

into a therapy cult, single handedly stripping trauma survivors of their autonomy, voice, & personal achievements. They also seemed not to have considered that the public can see Psymposia members flippant, dismissive comments on social media about the value and validity of psychedelic therapies.

before they tried to convince the FDA and concerned parties that it was something it wasn’t. Nese, despite expertise in bioethics, also did not stop to consider the damaging effects on participants when she tried to convince the public that trial participants were drugged and indoctrinated
comment in response to post
Yes and despite her expertise she chose to continually ignore clinicians and px with firsthand experience in the training and MDMA-AT therapy model telling her that she is misunderstanding and misrepresenting it, even going so far as to lie to the FDA about it. Some ethics!

If only MAPS called for world peace I’m sure it would happen. Maybe hospitals should call for an end to car accidents and all disease too. lol

My claim is supported by my own + 3 other trial px experiences, talking to a maps trained therapists who did not introduce this to their other px either , and an employee of MAPS. HB and MDMA-AT, while sharing some commonalities, are two distinct modalities. I’m done arguing about this with you.

@kgreenstien.bsky.social this is a great place to start if you’re truly interested in understanding the phase 3 theoretical model
comment in response to post
You said the theoretical model is about re-experiencing trauma thru age + past life regressions. It is not. Nobody is doing HB while on MDMA. HB was developed as a drug free way to achieve an altered state.
comment in response to post
MAPS continually advocates for an end to the ongoing war on drugs , which seems like an appropriate focus given the nature of their organization

I do not think it’s what therapists are trained to bring into sessions. It really shouldn’t be that hard to find out - why not ask MAPS trained therapists ?
comment in response to post
I know, I’ve seen this before. Yes, you can critique it. My continued message to you is to please be humble and respectful of participants and not so assuredly assume you know what’s actually going on in clinical sessions. Your assumptions are just that.
comment in response to post
I think we already have one, they just need to reflect this in their manual which somehow hasn’t been updated on 10 years which is nuts.
comment in response to post
What is this paper and where is it located ?
comment in response to post
you might be surprised to hear why it is people are seeking additional support. Might not be for reasons you assume. Being part of a clinical trial that’s debated in the media and disparaged by naysayers is a unique form of stress. I’ve spend many sessions hashing out Psymposia related BS too
comment in response to post
Whats not recognized in the research ?
comment in response to post
It can only happen if more therapists are familiar with and support psychedelic experiences. Which MAPS and other organizations have been trying to train mental health professionals with for many years now.
