Thanks. I did do some reading after this conversation, but I'm happy to have more to peruse.

That's frustrating.

It's that rare time we are worried about. Americans coming here may be subject to a cold reception. Alright, that could be unpleasant. Canadians going to the US could be detained in a concentration camp in maybe the US or, maybe in El Salvador. I'd take the cold shoulder.

Absolutely, there should be.

When I worked as a CSR for a manufacturing company the shipping costs to northern communities was INSANE.

Sure. But anyone that licks another person can eff right off. It's disgusting and has no place in the workplace. He's skilled, for sure, but he's a jerk on the ice and I'm not a fan.

Canada Post should be a service for Canadians that should be run efficiently but should not be bound by regular business ideals of 'making money'. UBI isn't something I've read enough about to form an opinion on, but I feel that turning CP into UberEats is not the way to go.

If Canada had basic income, this could work, maybe? But taking full-time permanent unionized jobs away and replacing them with gig jobs will result in more poor people.

I wasn't aware that Boston did anything other than trade him, but I'm guessing he's pretty content now. Also, I dislike how he plays, but I think he's a decent person off the ice from what I've read. As a current Toronto fan, I can't like him. Tho I'm getting pretty tired of cheering for Toronto.

I am so glad I went to bed when Marchand scored that shorthanded goal

And what Elo has left won't be much good to him if he's deported to a concentration camp in an unknown location

I hope that this goes quickly through the courts. The victim has suffered enough.

A very poor photo editing job, because I don't have any real editing software.

... and cut in front of the female players to grab a ball or make a play at a base that should have been a woman's play or otherwise don't let the women participate as an equal teammate. You don't want to be a newbie on one of those teams.

I highly recommend playing softball as an adult. Mixed teams are almost always looking for female players so it's usually easy to find a team. I would suggest, however, that you go watch a few games first though. In a league of, say, 8 teams there is always one team with guys that 'bro out'... 1/2

I learned recently that saying 'white trash' is problematic because it implies that that type of person is usually not white and that it is much better to say 'piece of sh!t'.

I believe the moderators were a little too quick with the flag here. How is this rude? (ince video Alt text doesn't show up, there is a very short video attached here that shows javiatordenvers reply to this thread as being hidden for being rude, but all they said was "They aren't wrong though")

There is a delay east of Gander now. Only about 10 minutes according to Google maps.

How about this: if we want to house the homeless, try bachelor apartments instead of jail. Not enough bachelor apartments? Try one bedroom apartments. And feed them while you're at it. WE WOULD SAVE MONEY AND LIVES. Sometimes I just hate humans.

Your 50s are when you decide that fitness is vital to your long term health and wellbeing and that you will get active again.... Tomorrow. (Really though, I took up ballet and I joined two softball teams this year)
