Watched The Habits last night: a play about unlikely friendships, coping with loss, and D&D. Genuinely moving with spellbinding performances. Best thing I’ve seen in ages. I really hope it get another run!

Started playing The Ascent on PS5. I have a soft spot for these types of shooters that dates all the way back to Ikari Warriors and my misspent youth as an Arcade Rat. This one has very nice booms and bangs. Big thumbs up so far!

Wow! D&D in a Castle “Hardcore Mode” complete: 36 hours of gaming over 3 days! An amazing game of D&D, with amazing players, in an amazing setting. Huge shout out to www.gamemat.eu for supplying so much of the terrain. It was EPIC.

My table is set for three solid days of Dungeons and Dragons. #dnd #dndinacastle

I have arrived at D&D in a Castle, with my castle!

Started playing Dragon Age Veilguard. Spent over an hour customising my face and hair - usual stuff :) But then I was blown away by how slick my character looked in the next cutscene; a full-on action scene, lots of physical contact, hair movement, etc. Very impressive, given all the options!

My introduction to tabletop RPGs: Dragon Warriors. Almost exactly 40 years ago!

Lovely Brighton weekend break.

Been thinking about ahead-of-their-time computer games which were a little baffling to play, as there was nothing much to compare them with. One of my favourite entries in this list was Corporation (1990), a forerunner to System Shock, Deus Ex, and other narrative action games.

Listen up, young uns. Castle Master on the Amiga. One of the best game soundtracks ever. www.youtube.com/watch?v=NyTb...

Currently playing Darkest Dungeon II. It's a brutal grind, but I'm quite addicted.

Great to see Stacey’s poster map of Neverwinter in the latest D&D Adventurer magazine. It’s a big boy and those icy colours came out really well in print!

Ooh look! Stacey and I made some of the poster maps for this! It's always been a dream of ours to contribute to a D&D starter set, and this one looks like it's going to be mega. dungeonsanddragonsfan.com/new-dnd-star...

Just finished this lovely mythos number by @jonathanlhoward.bsky.social. Had me cackling on the bus like a madman. Bravo!

More prep for Keep on the Far Realm. Delved into my library to fetch these forbidden and damnable tomes.

I was on the Playstation blog the other day talking about our new horror game! blog.playstation.com/2025/02/12/d...

Chuckling at the after-action reports from my Battle of Emridy Meadows adventure, which premiered last weekend at Magic Con Chicago. Seems like hungry haunted houses make for good baddies!

Wow! 12 years ago this month. Still one of my favourite adventures.

I have upped my nerd cred by learning the whole of "Far Over the Misty Mountains Cold" off by heart.

Watched the Gorge - a movie that would have been way classier if it was a video game.

The Keep on the Far Realm is almost ready!

Map of the Witchlight Carnival, from “The Wild Beyond the Witchlight” (WotC). I loved the board game elements we integrated into this map - the mood tracker and the time tracker.

Story trailer for the game I'm developing at work dropped last night at Sony's State of Play! Enjoy! youtu.be/9CtX9O7nZeQ

I wish I was at Winter Fantasy!

Very pleased with my new castle piece for D&D. Unfortunately I now have to paint it, and it has been decades since I’ve cracked open the paints for something like this.

2025 Monster Manual - Major Takeaways! My main impressions, looking at stat block simplifications, spell list and monster type adjustments, legendary actions, and so much more. See examples and learn what works and where the design falls short. www.youtube.com/watch?v=iMHX... #DnD #TTRPG

Map of the Netherdeep, created for “Critical Role: Call of the Netherdeep” (WotC).

Getting things prepped for my game at D&D in a Castle next month…

I went to the Science Museum and looked at clocks

Are you playing "Legends of Greyhawk" at Magic Con next month in Chicago? If so, I may be responsible for a certain event taking place there... mcchicago.mtgfestivals.com/en-us/event-...

In my Tomb of Annihilation work game, everything is rapidly colliding for a showdown next session with Valindra Shadowmantle, who holds the last of the puzzle cubes. She’s vastly too powerful for them, so they’re thinking of maybe ramming their spelljammer into her sky base. I like this plan…

Death Knight Dreadnaught, created for “Sleeping Dragon’s Wake” (WotC)

Rewatching Taboo, where Tom Hardy struts about looking impossibly cool in a ridiculous hat.

When I play D&D, most of my characters are basically this guy.

"Tears of the Crocodile God" was my first proper published D&D adventure, released for 4E back in 2012. I'm still rather proud of it and I'd love to see a 5E conversion someday.
