It got to the point where if I heard something, I didn't KNOW what to think about it until I brought it to my parents, so I DIDN'T think about it. I ditched the first impression step altogether, it saved me the trouble of finding out I'm wrong.

It was like every time I took what I learned from school home, it was wrong. Every time a Historian said something, they were wrong. Every scientific discovery was wrong. Any time a journalist reported a current event, or a philosopher made an observation, it was wrong.

I remember when that meant you were halfway done 😅

I used the Ranking Engine to try and determine where I should place it on the tier list.

Something I loved going back to this as an adult was having a better understanding of game physics. The game is so fun to abuse and just think outside the box with. Especially Sonic stages, his momentum is absolutely insane.

It's incredibly fulfilling to complete this. I remember seeing YouTube videos of people playing as Metal Sonic and thinking, "This must be an April Fool's prank, I beat SADX so many times and NEVER unlocked Metal Sonic. Must be a mod."

None of the "bad" parts of SA1 really bothered me. Many of you know I actually loved Big the Cat's gameplay, for example. I still would probably consider SA2 to be the better game, however.

Despite all of SADX's problems as a port, I still had a great time with this. I'll definitely have to try playing a molded Steam version one day, to get that classic Dreamcast feel.

Like SA2B, I've beaten the story countless times, but never got all the emblems. Truth be told, I probably got quite close as a kid, except I rarely interacted with the Chao Garden (I thought Adventure 2's Chao Garden was better).

I've also beaten Sonic Adventure DX: Director's Cut. I've had all the Emblems for awhile now, but I wanted to go the extra mile: Mission Mode, Metal Sonic Emblems, everything. Like SA2B, this was one of my oldest and favorite childhood games.

I was expecting this to disappoint me like Tails' Skypatrol did, but it would honestly be in my top 5 Game Gear Sonic games. My favorite thing is you spend so much time with the game, unlike most of the others that could easily be beaten in under an hour.

I would like to note that this is the only Game Gear game I did not beat via SADX Mini-Game Collection. The screen was oddly dark, and I could hardly make out Poloy Forest, so I switched to Gems Collection. So odd.

It's a bit of a change of pace, but once I got used to it, I realized this is exactly what I wanna see from a Tails spinoff. He's using his mechanical skills, he's using his thinker on the field, he's strategizing, and he's flying and diving all around.

It's got a Metroidvania style of platforming, complete with upgrades, unlockable weapons, and exploration. I've also heard the game be compared to Gargoyle's Quest, which I've never heard of, so I'll take their word for it.

Today I beat Tails Adventure (Tails Adventures? The title screen and box art differ). This game always confused me as a kid, I don't even think I ever figured out switching items. But to my surprise, I LOVED this game. Big fan.

He had a shield and STILL jumped outta the way! Poor Amy haha

I did say it wasn't THAT bad, so to leave a positive, I really liked John Pilgrim. He sounds like Vito Corleone, preaches like Father Mozgus, and walks dressed like Judge Holden. I liked how he was basically the Punisher if he still had a family to protect.

What pissed me off the most was the ending. Frank Castle doesn't choose peace, or to move on with his life. He doesn't even take Madani's job offer to use his skills to "fight the good fight". He just decides "I'll keep killing." Why? For what? It's the complete opposite of Season 1's ending.

The plot wanted to juggle these different stories and fumbled it all. I think I was most disappointed in Jigsaw. His character and motivations made sense in Season 1, but here, he's just yelling about nonsense and causing spontaneous chaos. None of it felt like it had any meaning.

Fun fact: Sonic Blast (also known as "G Sonic" in Japan) is one of the last Game Gear Sonic games to have a Master System version, but only in Brazil. From what I know, the Master System remained popular in Brazil for a long time, and they quite appreciated these versions which often ran better.

Some people call this the worst Sonic game of all. It's certainly undercooked, and the platforming is far too easy and simple. But it was honestly not that bad. I even found many of the bosses quite fun, especially the last one. If this game came out on the Leap Frog, people would've praised it 😆

You can play as Sonic or Knuckles. I beat the game as both, but honestly the gameplay is barely different either way. You would think Knuckles would be easier for the gliding and wall climbing, but Sonic can go just about anywhere he can. Actually, Sonic is easier because of his double jump.

It's a very unique game, most notably its pre-rendered 3D graphics. It was a method made popular by DKC, but rarely seen done on 8-bit hardware. Impressive for sure, but visually stunning? No, it's very dated. Even when it came out, it was critically panned for its graphics.

Today I beat Sonic Blast, not to be confused with Sonic 3D Blast. This was the most elusive Sonic game to me as a kid. It wasn't on Sonic Gems Collection, and I only ever unlocked in SADX once. I remember being very surprised unlocking it and not playing much after the fact.

My apologies, it turns out I did not complete this game, because there's TWO secret endings. Both are completed by winning every race in the Blue GP and moving on to the final GP. One race for good guys and one for bad guys. Funny, guess SA2 wasn't the first one to have a Hero/Dark story.

They tell me, like all things, it'll pass. They forgot to mention that something else takes its place as soon as it does.

It's possible the UF CAN'T arrest him, if they consider the Eggman Empire to be its own sovereign nation. It's not a nation with any land, but it could be considered one simply for the territory it intends to claim. Perhaps they see him not as a criminal to arrest, but a leader to go to war with.

But in the 3D games, he's breaking into military bases, threatening the president, holding the world for ransom, BREAKING THE PLANET, CONQUERING THE WORLD?!! If nothing else, surely Station Square has a warrant for his arrest.

Like as far as the Classic games go, I can SORTA imagine him being on the side of the law. Maybe he paints the stories as an undisclosed business venture that was unfortunately interrupted by the chaotic wildlife. Sure, he made the Death Egg, but it never got to do anything.

I used to think the radical left would take away our guns, and our mean words, and our cars, and- hell, just for the fun of it- take our toys. The world would be safer and sanitized until it's boring.
