Kids These Days: "I'm looking forward to a planned, scripted, cinematic experience. Like in those Bioware games I picked up during a Steam sale!" Da GM: "...Plan? Script?"

Sharing these numbers because I wasn't aware of them myself. In the US: * 1 in 5 unvaccinated people who get measles are hospitalized * 1 in 20 children with measles get pneumonia * 1 to 3 in 1000 die If you're not immune, close contact with an infected person gives you measles 90% of the time

From the description in the article, it's just Mindball with ML-boosted MEG instead of EEG. Great for hobbyists who wants to spend $1million on a shielded room in their house where they can brain-wrestle with a keyboard and lose most of the time. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mindball

Homeworld (1999), played at time of release, remains a high-water mark for "near-perfect video game experiences" I have had. ☺️

This is correct: Marina'ra refers to MARINA-style carbonaRA (which replaces the pork with a seafood alternative). This should not be confused with seafood pizza, so-called marina'za.

(the storm cellar door opens but a crack and a weary arm reached out, holding up an image) is this anything?

Well if you put it like *that*, I can't *not* post one of my cohost all-timers, even if the context has long-since collapsed.

(As an aside, I'm not persuaded that this geometry implies a cowboy underflow situation, and instead suspect that the back half of the torus represents some manner of inverted cowboy zone, cowboys with opposite chirality, if you will.)

Since this implies a toroidal geometry, it's only fitting that The Great British Fuckboy would be found circling the inner rim of the hole, cycling rapidly between minimum and maximum cowboy.

There are a handful of games whose spaces I really felt like "real" places to me at the time, that I *inhabited* and got to know really well. Sight unseen, and many years removed from last playing Grim Fandango, I can bring Rubacava to mind and visualize how to get from place to place.
