So no, no one piece of this was a universal experience.
But it's hard to overstate how much 9/11 was a constant presence in our lives as teenagers.
There's this myth that millennials had idyllic pre-politicized teen years, and. Nope.

As in, the very presence of any non-white, non-male, non-straight person at any organization-- even in the private sector-- is grounds for government investigation.
This is what Trump's DOJ has signaled.
Does NYT understand the implications of labeling us automatically as DEI??

YT Shorts creators have also started doing this editing thing where the end of the video loops into the beginning and brother I promise you that you can be added to the "Do Not Recommend" list too.

That small bit had people escaping coercion and living in choice. And the owner class was melting down so hard that you had CEO’s on stage saying there needed to be 50% unemployment so workers knew “their place” and were more “grateful” for their job.

Indoor air quality is another one of those access tools that people don't understand will help them even if they don't care about COVID. It's great for ppl with allergies, dealing with bad outdoor air, just...lots of things. It was what I wished got more funding in the Biden days.

My brain turns off when I hear the phrase "working class" tbh.
There are a few people I'll keep it on for and try to parse but by and large I stop listening.

Allistic insistence on obviousness is *extremely unhelpful* & given that we have Nazis in the federal govt which is both "duh they've always been there" and "not a single history lesson in mandated US education indicated this could possibly happen" maybe we could just STOP NOT SAYING STUFF

I think it's not necessarily a failure of communication but a widespread lack of imagination.
I think, collectively, we're all trained not to use our imagination. Especially those of us who have learned whatever form of academic rigor we have.
