I like the idea of text editors as IDEs but the experience of using neovim at work is really annoying. I get things setup and they work alright for a while and then an update breaks the setup. I just don't have the time to go and investigate when a hotkey suddenly doesn't do anything now.

My programming hot take is that all the “justification” that we give for why we have to sell subscriptions over one time purchases are just excuses given to engineers by their managers so they get on board with price gouging. No way it costs hundreds of dollars per customer per year to patch Word.
