The NFL should award 4 points for field goals kicked from the kicking teams' own side of the field (60+ yard field goals) make those epic kicks just a bit more spicy.

tell me more. would the other team take possession from where the throw was taken? or would it be a kickoff?
comment in response to

the nfl should award one point (followed by immediate change of possession) if any player, at any point in a play and from anywhere on the field, throws a ball through the uprights

US legislators: "I'm filing the 'Does exactly the opposite of the title' act." "It's been crafted for me by the 'bad intentions lobby' and I had my staff create a backcronym so that I can sell my barely paying attention constituents on my 'commitment' to them"

It's definitely not logic based thinking driving their behavior. Fear based decisions, and as we know from Dune, Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.

La Dee Dee is going to be even more dangerous this year now that the Chargers have Omarion Hampton as a threat. I think this is the year that my Chiefs will finally have to sweat a bit at the end of the season to be division champs. Denver looking real good too and Raiders will be chaos agents.

Sounds good, except, I don't want government regulating who gets access to the internet. See abuses of current administration for exhibit A of why that's a bad idea.

I get it, lots of reasons to do this dance with definitions, politics, pride, posterity, etc.
But we're better served as a society by honest accounting and ethical reporting
Bad times make great stories; I am more interested in sharing failures than expousing glories.

I mean, I can count 2 I personally had to deal with. :)
I dislike that we dance around the definitions of "outage". AWS has never had a region with 3 AZs lose power at all 3 AZ DCs at once? sure.
AWS has never had a region be functionally useless and for all intents and purposes down? B.S.

It's infuriating. Especially because the maga mind virus has hit my family hard. These are otherwise smart people who won't believe me no matter how many times I am right. It's also a curse to know it won't matter if I try to correct them, but yet have the deep desire to correct the ignorance anyway
