Same. I was mad they sidelined Elena again (as they do in each entry) and vastly preferred 2 to 3. My order is: 2, 4, 3, 1, but I only prefer 3 to 1 for the gameplay, not narrative.

Every so often I think about the fact that my first GCSE exam class (I think that's 9th-10th grade for the US?) would now be almost 30.

I tried one that made me have weird almost-hallucinations. I kept feeling something pulling on my duvet or sitting on my bed. After 2 nights I refused to take any more and went back to my doctor. 😅
The ones I take now are actually anti-psychotics and seem fine.

Same (also ADHD). I have to take sedatives to help me sleep or I get a few hours of broken sleep only after taking hours to fall asleep. 😴

I mishear things all the damn time. As an adult, I usually catch myself before blurting out what I think they said as I realise it can't possibly be what I heard most of the time. As a kid it caused quite a few laughs lol

Honestly, it's pretty close to the game, albeit with large sections cut or shortened and with some new scenes added.
Personally, I really liked it, but I also love Part 2 - probably more than I love Part 1. I can't wait to see how they handle season 3.

100% everything you say. I wish we had more choice in what we could teach. Even I don't like most of the texts and poems we have to study, but we have to plod through and over-analyse it (which I do enjoy, but I get why most kids wouldn't).

As a teacher also (English but in the UK curriculum), I wholeheartedly endorse this. I tell my kids they need to read and write lots if they want to get better. Somehow they think it will happen simply by turning up and listening (and even that's a stretch for some). 🙄
