That book is on my list! My sister gifted me some of her starter at Christmas and I’m trying out King Arthur’s Pain au Levain recipe today… crossing my fingers!

Yeah, I post one when I remember. It didn’t say it had to be consecutive days, right?

I was fortunate to see performances at the Stratford Festival in Stratford, Ontario, from a young age. I’ve loved Shakespeare ever since.

Shakespeare absolutely needs to be experienced in a theater. Reading a play is like reading a movie script. It is missing the art that brings it to life.

Not only do I remember them, I had a dress like Raggedy Ann when I was four. I’m sure there’s a photograph around somewhere.

I agree! I was in Wales with my dad in 2022 and he bought a birthday card in Welsh to give me. Forgotten for while, I got it today! How can you not like “penblwydd hapus” — it’s like the language of magic! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

I read this story too and was just dumbfounded at the greed. I guess I’m still horribly naive about what people will do to enrich themselves at the expense of others.

That’s very cool! Did you design the pieces too?

And when it has gone past, I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me.

Scott really portrayed Scrooge’s awakening so well—we can see Scrooge beginning to question his own assumptions and his vulnerability when he realizes what he’s become.

Feeding his narcissism—just shaking my head. He’ll see it as an endorsement and fawning submission to his “tremendous” personality. What a waste of paper and abdication of journalistic integrity.

Very pretty! I haven’t found the motivation to get ANY of my Christmas decorations out. Feeling a bit down over the last month or so, go figure. 🙄
