I watched the entire match and it didn't make me sad. The lad has had a phenomenal career but his body isn't up to the ask after all it's suffered through. It's questionable of Pep to flog him so often now tbh.

I'd argue it helps that he's fresh having done little of note all season, whilst everyone else is jaded having played at the top level since August. Plus, Emery isn't asking him to do anything but stand there and wait for the ball.

It's ridiculous isn't it? It's almost as if having 2 years of incredibly good fortune on the injury front has caught up with them? It feels like everyone is injured as they've barely had any injuries for a while, poor little Arsenal.

Yeah I can sympathize there, and from what I've read you deserved the win as well. Still though, Villa are in an excellent position in the CL, still looking great for that automatic progression to the KOs.

Outcome is always the same though, sadly. It's soft, but referees always side with the keeper in those instances, it's a tale as old as time.

Yeah, I think that would be the right approach. The next 5 are huge, particularly the 4 league games, so keeping everyone fresh and in rhythm is essential.
