I was always told that if you receive an epiphany you should immediately contact local law enforcement.

Most every character has more than one route to overpowered which I think is one of the games greatest strengths.
Some of those routes even encourage taking some level of damage.
I think it's cool because the game allows you to define your approach to a degree. It's definitely worth exploring.

The ramping up of quick time events and the switch in audible telegraphs does make it harder.
Switching to easy is absolutely fair especially if it lets you meet the game on your terms.

It'd be a much better situation if verification was offered and then you could check the chain of provenance for the one offering verification and then decline that offer or I request it from someone who I trust best to be a trustworthy verifier.

This is an incredibly good point. It's like certificate signing with no request.
