This is a good thing. The 30% default was set when the stores brought eye balls, by default, at massive levels. A feast of an audience, and if your game rocked, you were sorted. Now we pay 30%, and must answer algorithmic riddles if we want the chef to consider bringing us out something to eat.

I'd really like to see Steam make changes to their 30% platform fee. I understand they have no incentive to do so, but even a small change to say, the first $100k of gross revenue would make a massive difference to indie developers.
