And since the 16th century, the right to private property has been central to the political and moral philosophy of Liberalism. Private property=private ownership of the means of production=Capitalism. People absolutely do make up meanings to fit their narrative, that’s not what I’m doing here.

I didn’t define liberals as supporting capitalism, liberals defined liberals as supporting capitalism. If they want to call it free enterprise, fine, they can use whatever label they want. Doesn’t change the fact that what they actually promote is correctly labeled Capitalism.

I never mentioned “a free enterprise system”, probably because it’s a concept that is unrelated to the economic systems I did mention. The fact that there is even a concept of “rich” necessitates the existence of “not rich”. The very thing that capitalism is predicated on.
