i don’t think we’ve had a new Zelda character since Toon Link was introduced in Brawl! which is crazy! put in Tingle and Midna & Wolf Link for good measure

the fighters i want most are: Toad, Waluigi, Paper Mario, Ganon (Pig Form), Zelda & Tri, Anna Fire Emblem, Octoling, and 9-Volt (to represent weird, old and/or obscure Nintendo stuff, like his grab would be the Ultra Hand).

in that case, DC can partner with the new Kojima Productions and Batman can kick Sam Porter Bridges’s ass

i am aware that you can apparently do Crystal Chronicles online through Dolphin but that sounds. harder than it would be on Switch.

now that Konami is back in the games business they should partner with DC. i want a crossover where Batman can kick Bomberman’s ass

Pac-Man Vs is already on Switch in one of the Namco collections (and only one player needs to own it iirc), and the Pokémon games used it but not in ways that would make sense for this service. so i think it’s really just those four that i mentioned that would need it.

it would also be great for Wind Waker and, if they add it later, Animal Crossing. i think those are all the big ones. i guess i would understand if Nintendo didn’t consider implementing GBA connectivity worth it, but i wanna play Four Swords Adventures and classic Crystal Chronicles online so bad

people thought it would be Rerun or Rewind but imo those sound like titles for a port, not a remake, so i see why they weren’t chosen.

it still baffles me that CrossWorlds is gonna be on Switch 1. having played the ps5 network test, i have no idea how they’re gonna get it running decently on that hardware

also i know Ichiban is already repping Like a Dragon but Pirate Majima would be amazing lol

my understanding is that Sega fully owns the character Bayonetta (Nintendo just published the sequel games) so please Sega let me play as the sexy witch lady in CrossWorlds

realizing this would actually rule. personas, the masks we wear, the performances we put on… that’s thematically a great fit!!! each party member could draw on a different theater style, from kabuki and noh to broadway and shakespeare. hire me, Atlus.

i’m getting visual glitches and such fairly often. it’s not a big deal, but it surprises me because Death Stranding, which uses the same engine and had Guerrilla Games on support dev, was, like, flawless. maybe Horizon is just doing more demanding stuff. i mean, Death Stranding barely even has NPCs.

Aloy is a really good player character, though she has Talkative AAA Video Game Protagonist Syndrome. she works as both player avatar and actual character with some personality. Ashly Burch’s performance is really good, though it can’t really transcend the sometimes shaky dialogue.

i was gonna post that Teersa is the best performance in the game so far but now that a character played by Lance Reddick has been vaguely introduced i better wait to judge that lol

the dialogue and acting are……. uh……… uneven. also the visuals get messed up sometimes, which is weird, because the Decima Engine was flawless in Death Stranding. but mannnnnn shooting arrows at stuff is fun

also stuff like the LOD tech on foliage sounds great! i never found ray tracing that interesting, but it seems now that it’s been more standardized we can now focus on anything else lol

graphics tech that optimizes interactions like that is cool! improvements like this could empower developers to make new creative decisions. games often have to compromise on what actions can be shown due to the difficulty of animating them (see anyone handing someone something in a gameplay scene).

there are only three ways people interact with Aloy: vicious bullying, pointedly withholding information, or awkward flirting. i do not envy her.
