learn from some real videos of the 60's demonstrations - www.history.com/topics/1960s just yelling 'that's right' didn't make change happen.

i should point out also that mayor bass is not the relevant mayor, as paramount city is not los angeles city (of which bass is mayor) although within la county; the mayor of paramount is peggy lemons

He’s right. Tell people upside down American flags. They will use the image of Mexican flags to invoke the insurrection act

saw an update in which LASD made it clear they are not working with ICE in terms of raids but only if ICE comes under attack; i'd rather they came to the aid of the protesters when ICE arbritrarily lobs flashbangs etc at them but no reporters asked about that (or wasn't included in this clip)

President can only pardon federal crimes, not state or civil convictions. NAL, but these are literally illegal orders that the soldiers should have refused to follow.

Trump violated the constitution and broke the law AGAIN…

Without those conditions being met and without state consent, Trump’s move amounts to a clear violation of constitutional limits and federal law.

This maneuver also clashes with the Militia Clause in the U.S. Constitution (Article I, Section 8, Clause 15), which gives Congress, not the president, the power to call forth the militia under specific conditions like insurrection or invasion.

Under normal circumstances, the president cannot federalize a state’s National Guard without the governor’s consent unless the Insurrection Act is formally invoked, which Trump did not do. Instead, he used a Title 10 to activate Guard units under federal command,

peaceful protesters are arrested after being tear gassed or with rubber bullets. Europe has thousands flood the streets nightly protesting war atrocities without incident or arrest. Now- revisit the college protests at Columbia and UCLA? See the difference- police are brought in to stop resistance.

America doesn’t believe in the International Court of Justice (ICJ) or the International Criminal Court (ICC) Fuck around and find out why-OUR nation feels superior about many things…observe the treatment of Americans here and than observe the massive protests throughout Europe. They’re different.

It's amazing that using tear gas overseas is a war crime, but it's totally fine to use it on US citizens.

DHS is now declaring an unlawful assembly here. LAPD is not present. I am not aware if federal authorities can even enforce that order beyond their property (which at present no protester is on. The crowd has been pushed into the street by the prior volley of force)

Someone should tell them about LA’s June gloom. Getting dressed for morning will bite you in the ass once the marine layer burns off

Not majority. Plurality at best, minority when you consider the ancient rules of disproportionate representation.
