Democrats should have blasted out that maga passed a budget that transfers money from the working class directly to the top 1%. Your taxes are going up!

Moving US dollars anywhere would be useless as they would have little to no value I would think. You need a conversion to another currency or something more tangible like precious metals held outside of US. We need to do this yesterday.

Dems have no ability to drive the narrative.

Campaign against? You can’t tell me that ANYONE including the dimwitted maga voters didn’t see this as the game plan, and they won the popular election We need to win the middle & working class. Forget the extreme tails of the distribution. My god we have no ability to focus correctly.

Dems telling Dems about dem outrage. Sure, I like to hear from likeminded people, but unless it leads to massive voting organization and gains in the middle and working class that supported trump, it is just an exercise in futility. Although now elections have to be won at 80% to count

They have never had an issue with greedflation.

Dems are here to get stuff done not to fight and that shows. They will continue to work towards bipartisan solutions. It is simultaneously frustrating and a reason I am a democrat.

Followed closely by the people who voted him and other maga followers.

MAGA in charge gets to do maga things. Are the NC citizens going to do something or just let maga be maga? At this point, across the country, blind eyes are allowing an authoritarian regime take power. We are the slowly boiling frogs in the pot.

I would wager a majority of law enforcement voted Trump, and probably not just by a little.

Not many republicans left. They have all been supplanted by the maga party.

He has immunity. There are no limits to what he can order. The limits are what people are willing to carry out. The US seems more amenable to his wants than the first time.

Yes, but police agencies across the nation support right wing stances. Individual officers support gun ownership with little regulation. While some might have a reasonable stance on gun control more do not. I have no research and numbers to show but I seriously doubt this is wrong.

Do the hard work to put the asshats back under their rocks so democracy and humanity can move forward.

Probably right

The unfortunate response is, “so what?” If we hold no one accountable then nothing is wrong. We have already witnessed that, and the American people elected trump. There are no laws, ethics, and certainly no consequences apparently.

Who is more to blame, the person who attacks democracy or the masses who do not defend it?

Isn’t this just padding his resume for maga appointment? He had trump at “utterly unqualified.”

Actions VS words. Based on actions just about all media companies seemed to want trump.

The problem seems to be that the powers didn’t really truly want to take action against trump - clearly wanting to go through the motions seeking accountability and defending democracy; all the while dragging their feet so that, in the end, he would either be president again or die.

A president that cares about leading the United States of America would care about a mandate. This asshat certainly does not. He has all branches of government. He could be supported by just 1% of the population and it would NOT impact his shit decisions.

Such beliefs are a major reason why maga followers were/are able to be so easily manipulated and controlled. Belief in the supernatural is something anyone is free to have, but when so pervasive it is a monstrous tool that can destroy a country, apparently. Keep your god views personal.

Trump will stop the court orders and give him a reprieve. He’ll probably even appoint him the supreme court.

How will you stop the confirmations while not controlling the senate? As far as I can tell trump can appoint whomever he wants and his maga party would confirm (with one exception so far).

RFK has a plan. Get rid of access to real meds so no shortage then. How has America become so anti-science and frankly dumb? And, how can we effectively combat this? How can we get moronic folks to embrace science and think it is their idea, and the “godly” thing to do?

Yeah I think that politicians can only go after state schools in any real way. They can absolutely threaten funding. I think many schools will rebrand DEI to something less scary to the old white men. Although, I am not sure what that would be.

It would seem that the “justice” system moved with enough speed to not ever have to really do anything. It is almost as if they wanted this outcome - from top to bottom.

But, has this been done yet? If not why isn’t it happening? I know some judges have been confirmed.
