1️⃣ Online consumers face losses due to unfair practices online & are very often faced with dark patterns 2️⃣ Current EU consumer law needs updating to provide legal certainty and enhance consumer trust (like the DFA) 3️⃣ Better enforcement is needed but it cannot replace the need to fill regulatory gaps

The case was lodged by our German member vzbv against Google and boosts BEUC's coordinated action from 2022 which claims that Google unfairly steered consumers towards its surveillance system when they signed up to a Google account 💪

🪙 Over 90% say tariffs will negatively impact both their own countries’ economies AND the EU as a whole. 🏠 83% expect a higher cost of living. 💥 69% support EU counter-tariffs on U.S. products. 🧭 Consumers want Europe to stand its ground even if the economic payoff isn’t clear.
