Similar! I have a lot of recurring dreams (nightmares?) about being back in school, but not knowing my schedule, the location of my next class, or the material, so I show up at the wrong place at the wrong time with no idea how to do anything.

I use packing cubes and that helps too. Still trying to figure out a solution for extra shoes/sandals, as they gobble up too much space.

I got a similar travel backpack (not Decathlon) recently that's designed to be the same size as a regular carry-on hardshell. It's great for keeping my hands free instead of using roller luggage.

I fully understand and appreciate that economics plays a huge role in this. I also recognize that one of the best things you can do is travel internationally, to actually witness for yourself how other people live and breathe and work and eat in different cultures and speaking different languages.
