My city still runs fire trucks to all calls but the city adjacent to us has pickup trucks carrying four fire medics. It is definitely more economical and environmental but it requires a whole crew specifically for medical calls only. We don’t have the budget for the extra manpower needed.

As a firefighter I can attest to the destructive potential these vehicles have. The two main problems are first the bumper offset. Their bumpers are in line with smaller cars passenger compartments. Combine this with their incredible weight and fatalities are almost a certainty.

I actually feel kind of bad for owners here in Canada. People ordered them probably three years ago and they just arrived in time for Elon to show his true colours and the orange menace to place 25% tariffs on your closest trading partner. 😂

Yes 30 odd % voted for him but America also had 30 odd % not bother to vote at all. They are complicit in his election. This tells me that over 60% of the American population either wanted him elected or couldn’t care less about what was about to happen. They’re all guilty in my eyes.
