Had a trumper day to me the other day "the Hitler comparison is tired, it's not like they are rounding people up"
I don't even have words to describe what could possibly be happening (or not happening) between her ears

Literally had someone say to me the other day "you can't trust the CDC, these vaccines are dangerous, they have a black box warning," (honey... Who you think put that there...) "besides the death rate for these diseases wasn't that high in the first place, both my parents had measles and didn't die"

And not enough from investments to sustain my disabled ass long term. Just bc the wealth gap shrank doesn't mean people aren't suffering. You, and Democrats, have failed the American people in your ability to LISTEN, your ability to deliver meaningful change for your base, and your messaging.

Now go put your tail between your legs and learn how to listen when someone disagrees with you. Bc no, I'm not better off than during the COVID years. I was able to receive unemployment then, now I'm not. I make too much money from investments to receive disability.

It has been argued that criticism is a critical form of patriotism. I vote for Democrats bc I like my rights. That doesn't mean I can't criticize them. That doesn't mean they couldn't do better. They are not doing enough to curb monied influence in politics. Period, full stop.

Honey you need to steeeeep off. I am a queer autistic woman, you think I asked for this???? I voted for Biden and for Kamala. You are so busy being divisive for the sake of being divisive that you are forgetting we have a common enemy. If someone disagrees with you they must be against you.

Like most Democrats, you are stuck on the academic topics and not hearing me. I am struggling. My friends are struggling. My clients are struggling. We are not assessing our own financial situations as stable, we are assessing them as bad.

I don't think it's possible for Americans to believe they are experiencing financial hardship when they aren't. That is an individual household experience, not a media issue. I also feel like telling people they are wrong about what they are seeing in their daily life as issues, is kind of gaslighty

That was not the sentiment of Americans in my neck of the woods.

That's not how democracy works tho, we the people do not owe our politicians anything. They campaign, we elect them, if they do their job, they get re-elected. Democrats have been performing poorly in elections which means the people are not pleased with the job they are doing

like they were in the 50s and 60s when we had a thriving middle class. We don't need gradual change, we need radical change.

This is EXACTLY the problem tho. This kind of stuff isnt felt by the everyday American. People are still really struggling financially. At the end of the day the wealth gap still grew. We need an increase in minimum wage, we need universal healthcare, we need the billionaires to be taxed at 90%

Ahhh okay I see what you are saying. I think I meant something different when I said anti-establishment. I mean a Democratic candidate that is willing to disrupt the status quo. Like AOC, Sanders, Warren. And they need to learn to actually speak to the people in a way they can understand.

My apologies, but I'm not sure I fully understand what you mean here (autistic so I sometimes struggle with figurative language)

Do not glorify Democrats that have stood by for the past ten years clinging to the establishment rather than truly taking a stand. They are just as much to blame for what is happening right now. I voted for him, but he was not our savior.

As well as someone who said "anyone who hasn't heard of XYZ state politician isn't doing enough."
This is not a competition. This is collective trauma. We will all cope differently and we will all show up differently. The only thing that matters is that we are kind, and that we keep showing up.

To start the revolution we truly need. Do not glorify Democrats that have stood by for the past ten years clinging to the establishment rather than truly taking a stand. They are just as much to blame for what is happening right now. I voted for her, but she's not our savior.

We would have been better off in the short term, but let's not fool ourselves into thinking Dems have our best interest at heart just bc they ran against Trump. What trump is doing now, is dropping a bomb on the establishment. It's fucking up everything, but i hope it pisses everyone off enough

Honestly, this might be the only DEI roll back that has some positive effects. US military has been praying on the marginalized for far too long. Leave black and brown ppl alone!

Translation "hoarding wealth is totally okay as long as you share some of it with the people you are hoarding it from. NBD as long as you are doing something to make the problem you created feel a little less awful!"
comment in response to

Yea you're right. Starving and homeless people existing in the same world where people are hoarding billions of life saving resources isn't worth getting upset over. It's my fault. It's the autism, causes lack of empathy.
comment in response to

Yes, but it's still hoarding billions of dollars while there are people out here not even making a living wage

Or, he could redistribute the 5 billion dollars he has hoarded away from the American populace, we can wake up and stop worshiping our oppressors, and start electing people that are of the people and for the people.

Orrrr how bout we learn our lesson and stop electing rich Oligarchs and start electing ppl that prioritize people over profits??

He literally has billions of dollars, how is that not inherently greedy?

In a country run by oligarchs, don't be a billionaire.
comment in response to

Talk to me once you have recirculated 5 billion dollars into the US economy. Or spent 5 billion on housing and food for Palestinians. Until then I can't hear you over all that hoarded wealth.
