If you're not feeling it's right for you in the moment, I can understand that – we'll continually strive to improve.

Totally fair feedback – to clarify, we didn't deliberately wait for a year, but other priorities regularly come up. We get hundreds of feedback & feature requests each week, and do our best to balance addressing them alongside what we otherwise build, all of which is in service of our users.

We aim to make Buffer as flexible and intuitive as possible, so anyone can understand to help them navigate social. With AI, we aim to support creators - *not* at the expense of a creator's voice. We intend to rethink parts of the AI Assistant with this in mind. Thank you again for your feedback!

If I'm honest, we sat on that feedback (it has been a year πŸ˜…) because we wanted to give our AI Assistant some time in the wild to see how users use it, and the usage of it has been quite mixed. Some users love it, others never use it at all - and that taught us a lot.

Hi! I'm on the product team at Buffer, just caught your post. I hear you on your frustration. In short: It's great feedback and a good nudge, we're going to add a toggle to disable the AI Assistant in your account. No ETA just yet, but we will address this soon! Some background, if helpful:

Grab it today and *own* a piece of art, for as little as $1 πŸ‘‡ kidlightbulbs.bandcamp.com/album/remixe...

put a little differently, trump is creating a clear hierarchy of states based on nothing other than his arbitrary political preferences. some states, and thus some citizens, will be disadvantaged for no other reason than that the president does not like they don't obey his will.

If I may, I highly recommend REMIXED CASTLE, which contains 10 excellent remixes of my work by various lgbtqia+ musicians & their allies: kidlightbulbs.bandcamp.com/album/remixe...

Every single element of the remix, outside of the kick & snare, is sampled from the original soundscape. Everything you hear is based on the same scream & creaking door sounds that made the original. Please blow off some steam with me this Friday by blasting this into your ear holes.

My ultimate goal is a profitable (or at least cost-neutral) music operation, which I can grow at my own manageable place and foster deeper experiences for & connections with fans. This takes patience & defiance of the typical things the "music industry" (and musicians themselves) tell you to do.

Streams are not my goal. They are an indicator that someone's listening but I don't even know who they are and whether they have any intent to listen again or go deeper, and my music is designed for going deeper, and I know there are folks out there seeking that. (3/4)

And that's *before* one-off sales, much of which I donate or divest, but some of which I do keep. This makes kid lightbulbs a (slightly) profitable operation. Considering this project didn't exist 18 months ago, and I've put almost no money or ViRaL vIdEo CoNtEnT into promoting it, I'm happy. (2/4)

relevant for how I feel in the current moment. It feels urgent yet a bit timeless. It's harsh at times. It's painfully gorgeous in others (if I say so myself). The highs soar higher and the lows trench lower. It's also nowhere near done πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

Like a little time capsule out of time. LP4 is the first full album's worth of fully original recordings I've made since 2021 (even LP1 was a bit of a hodgepodge). It's feeling like an entirely different beast altogether. Some of the lyrics go back a few years, but it's all fresh and intensely 2/

I'll then divest sales of the SUPER COOL DELUXE EDITION to marginalized artists I've connected with on Threads and Bluesky. Honestly feels like a better use of this $ than "artist marketing". Which of my albums should I do this with?

Or check it out on REMIXED CASTLE in full (it's track 3!): kidlightbulbs.bandcamp.com/album/remixe...

1) a double-time, high-energy hyperpop blast, which then breaks down to 2) this gorgeous slow jam based on some intimate acoustic guitar and my vocal swinging around the mix. We call it the "joy as resistance" mix. It's truly lovely. Pre-save the thing: artists.landr.com/056870390390

- They found the album on GetMusic and liked it enough to buy it EVEN THOUGH THERE WAS A FREE DOWNLOAD CODE People are great, is all, I guess πŸ™

otherwise I have a GetMusic promo going (which offers a free download code to new listeners). So either: - This person went to my website, listened there, and liked it enough to buy it - This person found me via some other Bandcamp page or embed elsewhere THAT I DIDN'T ACTIVELY MAKE MYSELF

I tried tracking this down, and it seems like a totally cold purchase: this individual found RUINED CASTLE on some embedded player somewhere. I only have embedded players on my own websites, and I've done *very* little promo of this album outside of Threads itself, and

4. I tap the Shortcut icon 5. The shortcut asks me where I want to cross-post it 6. Once I pick which platforms, it handles all the scheduling for me 7. Either instantly, or in a few hours if I want to pre-schedule, it's there I need to clean it up but can share this publicly if folks are into it!

It uses the @buffer.com app's shortcuts support to take any Threads post I forgot to crosspost elsewhere and quickly do that. 1. I post something to Threads and forget to crosspost it with Buffer 2. I tap & hold on the post and select "copy" 3. I pull down the control center menu (cont'd)
