I think this also is feeding into the increasingly widespread perception that federal court rulings don’t really count or matter, and only when SCOTUS weighs in (which apparently it now needs to routinely) do we have a “real” ruling that must be obeyed. That’s incredibly corrosive.

Trump claimed that if he hadn't deployed the National Guard on June 8, "Los Angeles would have been completely obliterated."
