Ordered a Mystery Dice Set. I was not disappointed. Unfortunately, the picture does not honor how beautiful it looks IRL.

Fun fact: Beholders decide their own gender! 🏳️‍⚧️ Another fun fact: @bellechere.bsky.social painted a 🏳️‍⚧️ Beholder / Eye Tyrant for #Pride month. Check it out in the quoted post!

There's still time to hire me for game design consulting this month! If you want help with a game you're working on, I'm here! docs.google.com/document/d/1...

The article "I Want You To Sell Me Your Games" by Glenn Beuttner in issue 2 of @thehearthmag.bsky.social is a really good look at getting your indie #TTRPG into physical game stores. (I'm not sure if Glenn is on bsky). You can grab the issue here.

Not trying to jump into the dice business in any means but thought it would be cool to try to make some unique sets of dice to match some of my games and sell them (in limited editions) on our website. I still have a lot to learn but I'll definitely give dice molding a try!

It's time ✨ Evergreen is my #ttrpg brainchild, and now I can finally share it with all of you! Visit our website below to grab the (free) playtest document, run a game or two, and tell us how it went! We're a small indie team that depends on your feedback to make a great game ❤️

Shattered Waters will somehow have multiplayer elements even though it is considered a solo fishing journaling TTRPG. Let me explain: One character's playthrough might help another character's playthrough. These mechanics will allow both solo and multiplayer games! Now to make this all work... 😆

Free advice to game developers: Don't forget to breathe

I'm guessing Big Bite Games is on some new Starter Packs because followers have been flocking to our page for the last three days. *Clears his throat* Hello! My name's Pat and I am a 33 years old (for the last 16 years) game creator from Canada. I've been in the hobby for more than 35 years!

Are you one of those old school people who still write down notes the old way? Show me your notebooks!

I have a lot to do today and I'll be mostly on the road. That doesn't mean I'm not working on my projects though! I always bring with me my brainstorm notebook.

That! These are wise words @wobblerocket.com!

You know you can design a TTRPG any time you want and be a game designer. You don't need any fancy credentials or some wild abundance of creativity. You can draw on what you know and simply make a thing. You don't even need to publish it, though it's fun to put it out there. Go make something.

Biome tags like STORMY, ROCKY, and HOT show where your gear and bait work best in Shattered Waters. Use the right bait for the right biome to boost your catch! Match your gear, adapt, survive! #FishingGame #GameTips #ShatteredWaters

Morning #ttrpgcommunity! Yesterday, I started designing playbooks for Shattered Waters! Yep, Playbooks in a Carta Game! Get ready to explore The Lone Fisher, The Fame Seeker, and The Archivist—each offering unique goals & replay value! #ttrpg #shatteredwaters #indiedev

Not actively working on Legends of Rock doesn't mean I'm not working on it. Woke up this morning with the solution to the magic system that's been bugging me for almost 6 months now! Wrote everything down and I am happy!

If you're into punk rock, give a follow to my friend Paul (@music85.bsky.social) and his band, Call in Sick. He's got one of the best, unapologetic punk rock sounds out there!

Wondering if I should go with common naming for gear (for quick comprehension of what the gear is) or colorful naming for deeper lore such as for these fishing rods: Basic Rod VS Saltwhittle Rod

As a tension tool, I'm incorporating a grid system for inventory management in Shattered Waters which will force players to make tough choices when on a fishing expedition. Wanna learn more? Check out my latest blog entry at www.bigbitegames.ca!
