Read in a book about Russian prison tattoos donkeys years ago that the reason you’d see a lot of old cons with Stalin and Lenin tattooed massive on their chests and backs is bc they thought the guards would be less inclined to flog them as hard on their faces. Idk if it worked tho

I loved it as well but hadn't really looked it up since I was a kid. The theme tune and opening are excellent. The design, the motifs, it's all pretty decent stuff.
