No, I fear I'd ruin it. It's gorgeous as it is.

A Childless Mother. My favorite work of yours from this era, though, is Progeny and God's Hammer. Easily in my top 5 -- if not top 2 -- books from Caliber Press/Comics. All of your stories in Caliber Presents are great, too. #caliberpress #calibercomics

(3/3) Then my angel of a wife asks the guy behind the counter: "Do you have any Cerebus memorabilia?" He goes in the back and hands her a set of Diamondback cards. "Take 'em." TL;DR: Rubber Chicken Comics in Bellingham, MA rules. #cerebus @moment-of-cerebus.bsky.social

(2/3) Highlights: Shatter #1, ElfQuest: Siege at Blue Mountain #5-6, Milk and Cheese #2-3, and Deadline U.S.A. #5 and #8 (more @philhester.bsky.social). And many more $1 comics.

I love their dollar bins, but otherwise that store is a mess

And this closing panel for the series. Definitely getting some Dale Keown Pitt vibes here.

That's also a good one. There is an interesting story happening in the world of Cerebus during this arc, as set up by Rick's Story, it's just completely impenetrable because Dave gets in his own way. And I really tried my best to see through it all. I had hope!

I literally re-watch this clip every like 3 months and still laugh as hard as I did the first time I saw it

(3/3) Warpwalking (Caliber Press). This book was really fucked up and weird. In other words, it's an essential Caliber Press title. #caliberpress #warpwalking

(2/3) Black Mist #1 (Caliber Press). This and Concrete are what really tipped my deep dive into black and white comics. There's something about the visage and profile of the Black Mist character that are equal parts terrifying and agonizingly sad. #caliberpress #blackmist

And then my favorite cover of Cerebus, #180, during the Reads arc. Cirin's bloody hand is so absolutely brutal. The entire fight sequence between Cerebus and Cirin spread across this arc are incredible, filled with bold black blood splatter across both characters and their surroundings.

Then we get into Mothers & Daughters with my favorite arc, Flight. Now we start seeing blood and sweat splattered all over Cerebus on covers #152 and #153. Again, I've never seen blood depicted in such a way. It's incredible.

And with that, I take a break from Poison Elves. Also, check out this back cover ad for Artesia. Looks sick. All of these ads for other Sirius titles are really cool.

No matter how many times you tell this epic, it never gets old. But, now that one of these past roommates runs a "well-known furry webcomic," you need to text me this info ASAP

Come on, anthropomorphic dog cosmonaut having space adventures not enough for you? That's honestly about all I know, but I've seen a bunch of ads for it in the backs of other comics, enough to make me excited to check it out!

Issue #112/113 doesn't appear in any of the collected editions, which is a shame because it is an excellent transition piece to go from Church & State to Jaka's Story. Its cover is also fantastic, but for some reason the scan of it in the treasury sucks.

Hell yeah! Had this series on my list for awhile, now I can easily dive in

#112-113*, that's one of my favorites, too! I also really love that issue because it is incredibly strong visual storytelling that works perfectly without dialog.
Thanks dogg 👊
