ALSO an addendum— if you enjoyed the movie nausicaa: of the valley of the wind and also incredible world building with body horror (tho much less gratuitous in the manhua than in the novel), you will definitely enjoy Little Mushroom

as i’m typing this, the manhua currently is serialized thru chapter 49 (and translated thru chapter 48) so there is a long way to go for part 2 but man, it will be so rewarding to follow along and watch events as they unfold

the manhua is still ongoing online (p sure the fan translation team uploads directly to bunmanga), but disclaimer that it did take the creators about a year and a half to cover the events of just the first of two novels. it is a fantastic and gorgeous adaptation of the novel, so please read it !!

it would probably be a way to “get around” the licensing issues w the printed english version being currently relegated to a defunct publishing company so maybe 7s or someone else will pick up the manhua license

i hope so! idk how long they would wait for it to be posted tho bc the equivalent of book 1 has taken about a year and a half so they’d have to make sure that it was either done or close to being done before they started publishing a translation.
