We’re still sane… mostly. Our problem as a tourism economy is USCBP in Honolulu Airport are just at bad as the rest of the country apparently. Just detained a couple of German kids and refused them entry from NZ. Fly into Kona: our airport doesn’t even have a roof, much less a detention center!

Well, we were still rather looking forward to them in Hawaii… it’s about to get very bad here. Again.

Oh no! An effective tool for the maintenance of US soft power via the preservation and uplift of tens of millions of lives across the developing world? You’re telling me this thing not only nonviolently furthered our foreign policy goals, it also directly *helped* people? Disgusting.

And really overthrow of the monarchy in 1893 was not a result of U.S. policy. It was locally planned and executed by haole businessmen, and was condemned by the Cleveland admin. Annexation was the goal, but the plotters had to declare a “republic” and wait 4 years for McKinley to let them join.

They may need to *lay* their 6-month vendor qualification process aside and *shell* out for some alternatives.

NOAA is one of the things that makes America exceptional. Destroying it makes zero sense.

I drove a couple of rented Chinese-made “MG” SUV’s around Italy and the UK last year. Without doubt the worst-made (and most gutless) modern cars I have ever driven. SAIC products make a Nissan Altima feel like an unattainable luxury machine. They are Land Rover slow, with interiors by temu.

I’m just a simple island seaweed farmer and I just spent a week in NYC and Boston riding MTA and T everywhere. The noises the trains make were way more traumatizing to me than my fellow passengers were.

And if you remark on it you are invariably met with outrage “We’ve always done/said/eaten that!”.

To be fair these are small tradeoffs in exchange for the Total Cultural Victory we have achieved across the pond over the last 20 years. Every time I go over there (at least annually) I am struck by how much more American the Brits seem to get every day. Language, dress, food, holidays…

And you try posting about this on FB to alert normie conservative family and friends to the damage being done, and get howled down for being an alarmist, and told that “Clinton did the same thing in the 90s and we’re all fine”
