I didn’t play the first and so far (not too deep into it) I am fine. There is also a recap which will give you the basics of what happened.

That looks delicious.

If you read my review and think this might be for you, here's the Steam page:

I took that from X, if you want the original tweet you can Google. Had to chop it down slightly for Bluesky.

Pierre LeBrun has a decent pitch. - Stanley Cup awarded by May 31 - Shorten camp and pre-season, regular season around Sept. 15 - no more all star games - move draft earlier in June as a result of season ending earlier - move free agency to within 48 hours of draft ending in June.

You have be beyond brave to try this in TLD. I salute the Xbox crew for their heroics.

I didn't play much of the first one. Not too far into this one, but there's something incredibly satisfying about lugging cargo long distances while trying not to slip on a rock.

So it's a game of chicken at this point. Will the community push far enough to make them flinch? Who blinks first? If the community eventually loses interest and returns to spending money and playing, it's a license to do this again. It's an interesting situation to watch play out.

Companies are smart. They know when something is likely to cause an uproar in the community, especially around MTX. It's a calculated risk. See how far you can push. Push too far you can always dial it back a bit. But they don't want to give in because it tells the community that complaining works.

I don't know if it's the developer (Second Dinner) or publisher (Nuverse) who is making the call. But I don't think the game is doing poorly. Steam DB doesn't show a big player drop off. I think it's a case of "line must go up at all times" in terms of revenue.

I can say with full confidence that I think you have some of the better intros to your emails, whether it's, "Yo, giving this to you ultra early because life is butt," or something funny. It's good stuff.

One of these days I'm going to have to do a thread like the ones you do, but directed at PR. Although I get far too many emails each day to read, I do agree you should read the ones you reply to at minimum.

Sorry about the Oilers. I prefer the Leafs win the Cup but since that'll never happen again, I was kinda hoping McDavid would get one there.

Ya, I go on vacation when the Leafs are out. I stop reading almost all the news (I'll check a few select sources around the draft and free agency), but any and all influencer content I block out.

LLMs don't exist if they can't study what humans have written. And if people stop writing, LLMs can't improve, and will quickly become useless. The entire idea behind LLMs is a big fraud, because they cannot exist, or continue to exist, without stealing from people.

You do.

Once it's on it works? If so, it's paired. Uh... assuming you hit up Google, but Nintendo says to reset the Pro Controller.

Florida has the ability to make teams look awful. They have done it to every team they've played this post season. So far, the Oilers are doing a great job of hitting back.

Is this Angler's Den?

Completely agree. I accidentally clicked on a YT movie trailer that was AI generated, and then suffered for weeks as YT tried to shove more of that into my feed. Even as I marked things as not interested, or don't show me this channel, it was an onslaught of channels that produce fake AI trailers.

I got Nitro so I can bombard my buddies with huge video files showing my proficiency in all the games they don't play.

Very true.

Feels like a lot of AI companies are in the stage where they are making big claims to gather investments and figuring out if they can actually deliver later.

A previous employer taught me that all that matters is you make the sale. Worry about delivery later. Your creators will figure out how to deliver on your ridiculous promises, and if they don't you can yell at them. Just get the investment at all costs!
