Wasn't another big issue the asking price? Didn't it launch at $60 asking price, which, for a full on remake doesn't sound crazy maybe in a vacuum, but the original was so good / still looked good, worked on PS5 (was free for PSN/PS5 too iirc?), and the remake had a few issues?

analog sticks - let's put character movement and camera movement on these, because of the precise detection and wide range of input values
click the sticks - let's make players mash down and in on the thing they're carefully adjusting as they play to do some action

Thanks for playing the game, but yeah if there's some bugs you could either them on the community discussions thread on steam or just DM them to me, either way is fine

No, Zeboyd is still going strong! I created my own little dev studio, but I have the rights to BODVII; the remake has been a passion project of mine and it's been an awesome experience bringing it all the way to release.

Looking into more platforms/storefronts/console stuff is definitely high on my priority list!

Thanks :) Yea it's been really fun revisiting this game... honestly hard to believe the original came out like ~14 years ago!

I tried to price it fairly given that this is much like the original game, a fast-paced and relatively short RPG, but it's also got a lot more presentational polish and QOL updates, as well as a bit more content

I'm still learning a lot as I go, but yea certainly high on my priority list is figuring out the best way to get this onto other platforms/consoles.

Wings are so tough to get right, but you animated them so naturally in this sprite. Awesome job!

Hehe well I'm learning as I go, and I'd like to do console versions, but I'll have to research a bunch of things to see what's possible, probably after this game's Steam release (which is in a few days)
